Mojisola Animashaun

Founder & Executive Director

Over 30 years of experience as a radiation therapist, Mrs. Animashaun is currently a Healthcare Administrator at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. She founded the St. Cyril Cancer Foundation to improve cancer care across the continent through advocacy of awareness, screening, diagnosis and treatment. Amongst a plethora of professional achievements, she is the Secretary of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Cancer Board and a member of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the International Society of Radiographers and Radiology Technologists.

Tola Atekoja

Chairman, Board of Trustees

An Alumnus of both Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife) Ile-Ife, Osun State and Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, Boston, USA. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and The Chartered Institute of Taxation. His work experience of over 35 years covered the Industrial, Financial and Public Sectors of the Nigerian Economy. He retired in December 2011 as an Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Nigerian Ports Authority. A former Chairman, Enterprise Bank Ltd, he served on the boards of Heritage Bank Plc, Lagos Channel Management Company Ltd, Bonny Channel Management Company Limited, Continental Shipyard Limited and Metropolitan Trust Insurance Company Limited. Currently, he is the Chairman of RYDAL MEWS Ltd (A Real Estate Development and Advisory Company); KENDALSBRIDGE Investment Company Ltd ( An Investment Management Company); Maritime Microfinance Bank Ltd and St Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation.

Shola Animashaun

Member of Board of Trustees

A professional in engineering and construction work, Mr. Animashaun has been the Managing Director and Chairman of the board of Directors of Trust Technical Services for over 25 years. He brings to St. Cyril a wide range of experience through a series of exposures to different levels of management and interests and has served on the Board of various companies since 1984.

Foluke Alakija

Member of the Board of Trustees

Ms. Foluke Aboderin is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a first degree in Economics. She joined Ecobank in March 2007. A seasoned banker, her banking experience spans 27 years, managing the relationships of Multinationals and Top-tier Local Corporates operating in key sectors of the economy. She has also worked with Citibank and started her banking career at First City Merchant Bank (now First City Monument Bank) where she worked in the Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking Departments of the bank for over ten years. She is currently a consultant investment banker and mentor.

Kingsley Ndoh

Member of the Board of Trustees

Dr. Ndoh is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington and the Project Director for a government initiated Public Private Partnership-Cancer Center currently being developed in Ondo State, Nigeria. He has successfully initiated fellowship programs with Harvard/Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the University of Heidelberg in Germany for oncologists, nurses, and medical physicists in Ondo state. He also initiated a partnership with UW Department of Global Health and the Government of Ondo State for research and training. Previously, he led the African Access Initiative program in Nigeria at BIO Ventures for Global Health to improve access to affordable cancer drugs. He worked closely with the then Minister of Health and oncology stakeholders to successfully execute a country-wide cancer needs assessment. This led to the submission of proposals from leading pharma companies to the Nigerian Government for affordable and sustainable access to prioritized cancer drugs. He is an Affiliate Investigator at the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. He received his MD from the University of Jos and an MPH in Global Health from the University of Washington.

George Okafor

Secretary on Board of Trustees

Mr. Okafor is a lawyer and serves as legal counsel and advisor for St. Cyril. He has over 10 years of experience since being called to the Bar including being a Senior Legal Associate at AA&A Law chambers in Lagos; a firm with over 50 years of legal tradition and experience.
